On Thursday night, September 11, 2025, Timothy Nelson of Irene embarked on his heavenly journey, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that will forever be etched in our hearts.
As he had done every night for nearly 30 years at this address, he went to get the mail, unaware that his time on this earth was coming to a close. I don't know all the details, nor will I delve into anything I know or don't know yet. All I know is that he was a remarkable individual who loved his calves, which he raised with bottles and nurtured with love, just like most people love their dogs.
He spent his summers watching the weather for hay making, and he took great joy in his chickens. He was a father, brother, and uncle, and he had many beloved nephews and nieces who adored him. He was a man with a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand. He spent years tinkering with engines and repairing vehicles for anyone in need, often trading his services instead of accepting cash, and many times, he never even received payment for his kindness. His selflessness and generosity inspired countless people, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. What happened last week was a tragedy that never should have occurred, but I take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, reunited with our father in heaven, free from the battles and pain of this world. He is now with his mother and father, who went before him, and he is finally at peace.
We will be holding a small gathering to celebrate his life, and if you would like to be invited, please let us know, and we will keep you updated on the details. Until then, please keep our family in your prayers, that we may find peace and comfort during this difficult time. Let us also take this opportunity to celebrate all the good that he did, and the countless lives he touched. Thank you to all those who have stepped up and offered help to our family; your kindness and generosity mean the world to us. If you would like to offer help with the services, it would be greatly appreciated, as he did not have insurance or funds to cover these expenses. Rest easy, dear uncle, until we meet again in heaven.
