Terry Lundblade

May 21, 1939 — October 5, 2022

Terry Lundblade, 83, of Freeman passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 5th at his residence from natural causes. There are no services planned at this time.

Terrance (Terry) Arthur Lundblade was born on May 21, 1939 in Rockford, IL. He owned many businesses over the years from car lots, antique stores, and restauraunts with his wife and love of his life, Ruth. Terry was a fixture in the community. He could be found making his rounds at all of his favorite local spots like Casey's for his daily cappuccino, his Wednesday night lottery tickets and to shoot the breeze with the locals. He loved spending time at the local auto yard to see what the new project was and talking about cars with his friend there. Terry had a lifelong pasion for cars and wheeling and dealing as well as collecting anything and everything. He was living a second childhood when he saw a toy or anything nostalgic in his mind and had to have it.

Terry's true passion was Nascar. He hated that it had become so political and all about money. It was no longer something that the average person could participate in and enjoy, but he still faithfully watched every weekend. The following Monday, his son Shawn go to hear what a racket it had become.

Terry was a loving and tender man to the people in his life, but still was a grouchy old man. However, he was our grouchy old man and we love him with all our hearts. He was Shawn's best friend and leaves a huge hole in his life.

Terry is survived by son, Shawn (Robin) Lundblade and their daughters Nichole and Alexandra. He is also survived by his daughter, Kerry (Troy) Bratsch and their children Jessica and Joshua, and 6 great-grandchildren as well as his two brothers, Michael and Thomas Lundblade.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Lundblade, his father Arthur Lundblade, and his mother Roberta Lundblade.

He will be truly missed.
